Reflecting with our Emirati roots of hospitality and generosity, which are the basic teachings of Islam. We were pleased to design AbuDhabiAirport’s Eid Al Adha Gift. The gift reflects ADAC’s commitment in reinforcing family and community ties through sharing a three different types of high quality local honey; Sidr, Samar and Ghaf. Brought from the high mountains of Hatta, its fertile plains and valleys.
Samar tree’s trunk, leaves and blossom contains “Barm” the secret of healing and food where you enjoy the best types of honey every year in May and June, it is a historical witness in the life of the Emirati nation to represent the harsh desert and mountain environment.
The #Sidr tree is an evergreen tree with a long, strong, forked branch that is connected to the blessing, welfare and generosity. It’s blossom “Yabyab” is rich food for bees to produce high quality honey named Sidr Honey in October and November from each year. This honey is the most expensive type of honey and the most tasty honey ever.
Al #Ghaf trees is a local desert tree that bears the most drought and the highest temperature weather. From its rich flower we produce delicious red color honey in June and July each year called Al Ghaf honey. It has become a national symbol for reflecting the principles of tolerance, giving and resilience.
